About
FROM THE SOUTH TO THE WORLD.
Q: How did Tulones begin?
Tulones was established in 2017 by Mobile, Alabama natives and
blood brothers Chris “Benji” Polk and Damian “Dollas” Polk.
What started as an idea between two brothers quickly became a
statement and then a movement that has been a staple in
Southern Streetwear.
Q: What did the early days look like?
The journey started in the sprinter commuting from Atlanta , GA to
Mobile, AL every week to do pop ups and cater to our customers
and demographic in the way we knew how. We left Atlanta with
hundreds of pieces, sometimes stopping in Birmingham &
Montgomery, then our hometown selling every piece. We did this
weekly.
We would also use our intentional purpose with marketing to
create household products such as toothbrushes, underwear,
packed tees, socks, and more. These were essential to us
building a true southern streetwear staple beyond clothing.
Q: What does Tulones actually mean?
Tulones translates to 2 Lines S; the two vertical lines that
combine with the S to form the dollar sign.
But the symbol represents more than money. It represents
connection to all currencies.Currency is health.

want in life with intention and purpose. Whether it’s a 9-5, a
business venture, or chasing a dream, if you are working for it,
